Sensitive skin is a skin type that reacts easily to external factors such as cold, heat, chemicals, perfumes and stress, which can cause symptoms such as redness, dryness, itching, tightness and a tingling or burning sensation. This increased sensitivity is often due to the skin's protective barrier being weaker and the nerve endings being closer to the skin's surface.
